About me
Hey. My name is Robin Howie, I’m a citizen, designer, photographer, writer and strategist. I wear all of these hats as the Founder and Creative Director of Fieldwork Facility. Fieldwork Facility is based out of London UK and we work internationally... as a studio we thrive on unusual design challenges, it’s why we describe ourselves as a design studio for uncharted territories... our work has been profiled in Wired, Bloomberg, Creative Review, Fastco and The Guardian. Outside of the studio's client work I speak internationally about our approach to design... that design is a role of citizenship and that studio is an attitude, not a place. I also teach every now and then, typically at Kingston, Chelsea and Central Saint Martins. Alongside Fieldwork Facility I’m a Partner at Intermission – a coffeeshop and roastery in business to change the rhythm of the world.

Fieldwork Facility designed the exhibition (2D and 3D) as well as the accompanying promotional campaign. Our aim was to celebrate the work of the Century Guild and their hallmark ‘whiplash curves’ with an exhibition that ebbs and flows

Cautionary Tales is the story of Aaron who as a child tragically pulled a funny face in the exact moment that the wind changed direction — permanently disfiguring Aaron for life. The film joins Aaron as a young man, he has grown up with his disfigurement under the pressure of being continually tormented by the wind. The film titles and campaign intro

  • The Knee High Design Challenge
The Knee High Design ChallengeFieldwork Facility designed a playful identity, publication and an immersive launch event / exhibition space for Design Council's Knee High Design Challenge.
