About me

Robin Howie is an independent and inter-disciplinary designer currently based in London. Howie established the design studio Fieldwork Facility after graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2010 and works with a variety of clients across such as the Design Council, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Tate Modern, the Architecture Foundation and UK Sport. Howie has been commended nationally and internationally in press and awards for his work (Press includes: WIRED, Creative Review, The Guardian, FastCo, Design Week. Awards include D&AD, Creative Review, Design Week and the International Society of Typographic Designers premier award). Howie mentors start-ups and young designers, gives talks at colleges and tutors regularly at Kingston University. He has written for the magazines Grafik and ARC. Howie believes that design can create conversations and have an effect in the social fabric that we live in. Whilst Robin Howie has no ‘house-style’ his work is underpinned by a conceptual integrity and crafted execution. Howie’s work aims to create dialogues between people, objects, ideas, materials and places, these dialogues aim to create impactful communications that enrich the lives of those who experience them.
