About me

BRAND ARCHITECT, STORYTELLER, MARKETER & TECHNOLOGIST. A founder of, Rod enjoys shaping, pivoting and promoting brands. He has a gift for discovering insights and stories that he crafts into compelling business propositions. These have powered massive successes in many sectors and many geographies. He works with startups but relishes helping traditional businesses become increasingly agile and relevant by plundering processes, learning and technology from the entrepreneurial revolution. Back in the 80s, Rod founded the technology marketing group, Banner Corporation and grew it to become the largest Business to Business agency in Europe before selling it to WPP. Its clients included the best of the world's blue chip tech firms and the startups that wanted to be like them. Next came a fascination with the rise of social media and marketing technology. Rod spent time studying, mentoring and investing in a variety of early stage MADtech companies. In 2014 he made it into the TechCity Insider 100 list and the 2014/15 Fresh Business Thinking Power 100. In 2015 he was chosen as one of The Maserati 100. He was included in the 2016 Smith & Williamson Power 100 and GQ’s list of the 100 Most Connected Men in Britain. Recently, in 2017, he was selected as one of KPMG's Madtech Shift 100.
