Hostmaker is an international property management business that focuses on the rental market and yield management. Due to the operational challenges and complexity of the services provided, I had a chance to focus on multiple product areas and projects: - User acquisition (working closely with PPC marketing and SEO agencies, A/B testing landing pages and their components, managing sign up funnels, optimising form completion, running seasonal campaigns). - User activation (automating sales processes, streamlining user journey, developing features to help user set up and activation). - Cross market, and therefore, multi-language feature releases. - Internal product improvements and process automation. - CRM and third party software integrations with internal product. - Working closely with the analytics team to make sure user lifecycle is trackable in order to make informed business decisions.
During my time at Plentific, the company experienced a transition from a home service marketplace (primararly B2C) to a property management business (B2B and SaaS). Being the first Product manager in the Start-up I was put in a unique position to set up product processes as well as delivery culture: - Creating long term product roadmap, and overseeing ‘quick win’ improvements and bug fixes. - Developing and pitching feature briefs, developing MVPs and UX prototypes, as well as managing projects for full life cycles while measuring success rate. - Monitoring and analysing user journeys and A/B testing of new features. - Distributing workload and managing backlog to large and multicultural software development teams (both on and off site). - Growing the product team as well as introducing agile methodology to the product delivery process. - Writing user-facing product copy customised to different customer segments. - Managing internal and external communication of new product updates and feature releases.
- Managing multiple (100+) home improvement projects and maintaining professional relationships between customers and trade professionals. - Building new business relationships with potential clients, professional bodies and future partners. - Managing and improving company’s CRM systems. - Reviewing and developing new processes in order to improve the efficiency of the team and the business itself. - Producing quarterly business reports and pitching suggestions for future growth. - Managing a team of interns. - “Superuser” of Plentific platform, constantly feeding data and improvement ideas to the CEO and software engineering teams.
