- Dala FlodaA typography assignment ‘All about one thing.’ My designs are all about how the typeface Dala Floda was inspired by aged and decayed gravestones. I depicted my theme through the use of plaster and pvc. Through extreme trial and error and various printing methods, my final designs represent a timeline of how the traditional gravestone typography influenced the contemporary typeface Dala Floda. The plaques are designed to also be read stacked on top of each other, reinforcing the theme of tradition influencing contemporary design.
- Scotch TapeThe brief given was to advertise scotch tape to flatties. Therefore we chose to target students through print and social media. The #botchedjob allows the audience to upload their DIY cellotaped fixes to various social media sites and enter into a competition to win a flat makeover. The copy plays with typical student attitudes towards course related cost, DIY, laziness and mums coming to the rescue. Ultimately creating a light hearted approach students could relate to.
