Creating a collection for knitwear, I have applied each design to a range of traditional knitted apparel. Aiming to have created an eclectic range of designs, which encapsulate the tactile and natural aspects of the Scottish Landscape as well as displaying an air of luxury.

Awards
Bemz International Design Award
The Bemz Design Award is an international competition between design schools in France, Germany, Sweden and the UK. Bemz is an international company specialising in printed interior fabrics and supplying companies like Ikea. Launched in 2013 the Bemz Design Award is a competition bringing together students from major design schools across Europe to encourage their future design careers as well as inspire upcoming generations of designers. The project has pushed me in my specialism to design fabrics suitable for interiors and to develop my thinking on how to design towards a commercial brief to catch the customer’s eye. My design has been selected by a panel of industry professionals as one of three British Finalists hand picked from the leading Design Schools in the UK.
I am incredibly proud that my design has been selected for such a prestigious competition and my design is the only knit entry to have reached this stage. The winner of each country will have their design fully developed, produced and retailed at Bemz.com and will go forward into the European Finals. The result of the UK round will be announced mid March 2016.
