I’m a creative lead with experience working with retail, entertainment and hospitality brands. I have worked on everything from branding to multi-channel campaigns, as well as editorial design and motion graphics. I am currently based in London, UK.

  • John Lewis - The Beta
    John Lewis - The BetaThis brief aimed at bringing John Lewis to a younger audience by creating a greater understanding of the great products and services already on offer at John Lewis, whilst updating the branding to compare to other popular chains such as ASOS and Topman/Topshop. The beta is an entirely new department store, with no direct link to John Lewis. The new stores will be launched over two months through communication via e-mail, motion and advertisements in public spaces. Allowing limited sign-ups to the department store, younger people who love the feeling of exclusivity, will be engaged with this highly exclusive brand. During the campaign sublminal hints will be dropped into the design to suggest that John Lewis is behind the campaign, with the payoff being that they already offer these great services and products, and the beta was acting as a communication bridge between this previously unengaged consumer base. Post-campaign, John Lewis will be able to use this exclusive base of customers to try new products/services and create a customer group who feel truly unique to the brand.

    This role has involved working closely with other designers on projects for clients such as the NHS. My role primarily involves meeting with other designers to agree a direction for the campaign, and creating assets to be used in motion which will be rolled out at various different outlets. I have been responsible for the motion design, using software such as After Effects to produce engaging pieces of educational content to be used by our clients.

    During my three years of university I have developed high level skills in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in After Effects and InDesign. I have worked on numerous motion pieces for a wide array of briefs from Blood Donation UK X Costa Coffee, to John Lewis. I have also worked on a variety of publications, from posters to journals. I feel my main interests are focussed around digital media in areas such as UI/UX, where I still have lots to learn, and motion where I have spent lots of time developing in the last couple of years. Printed media is something I love to work on, and have spent lots of time during my studies working on typography which I have found to be incredibly transferrable between print and digital media.
