  • I have learnt a variety of attributes during my time at WHM magazine. For a quick turnaround publication organisation and hitting deadlines is essential. Learning to develop your own style to fit into the niche look of another vision was my biggest challenge, which I feel I overcame through communication with the design team and observing the way it is designed for the target readership. Being able to get stuck into every aspect of the editorial was something I thoroughly enjoyed, knowing that you have created every facet of the article gives you great satisfaction when you see the finished piece. We were encouraged to create work that we wouldn’t normally consider, but this has helped to build a varied portfolio and prove our creative versatility. Working in a professional environment has benefited me and I would like to continue working in this field. Being trained to use Adobe Photoshop,InDesign and PowerPoint has really helped me develop my design skills
