A creative, loyal and proactive individual seeking a role within the creative industry. As a result of living and working in Hong Kong, I have gained a diverse understanding of different cultures and the importance of representing a brand to provide a first class service. I have therefore gained excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and organise an event which I am eager to utilise within your organisation. I am currently studying at Quest Professional developing my event management and business skills, with the aim to pursue a career within the creative industry.
Charlotte Simone is a prestigious fashion house which specialises in fur and accessories. Alongside my studies I took the initiative to gain more experience within an office and fashion environment. I secured an internship which has exposed me to a small, fast paced atmosphere. Within my role I have been providing general office support, answering telephone, providing excellent customer service, helping with sample sale and carrying out adhoc duties. Given huge amount of responsibilities as an intern and have been praised for using my initiative and approaching each task with the same enthusiasm.
Gulliver Associates is an Australian health food business which is known as Chicken On The Run. The restaurant operates in Central and Repulse Bay in Hong Kong. I was responsible for marketing and sales which involved meeting sales targets and representing the brand image at all times. Key skills gained were managing employees, organising time schedules, market research and planning as well as customer relations.
I was employed as an Events Assistant at Hong Kong Yachting in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. This job entailed organising events on the HK Yachting boats, arranging catering, entertainment, staff and liaison with the boat team. The work was split between office and on board duties. I incredibly enjoyed organising the event and the social element of this job and I look forward to learning more about this industry.
I taught English to Chinese children at Little Red Deer Nursery, Kwun Tong. As part of this job, I was required to prepare lesson plans, look after groups of children and also one to one sessions sometimes with the parents present. This job required high energy, enthusiasm and confidence. The children’s ages ranged from 6 months to 5 years old. I enjoyed this experience and the rewarding factor of having taught someone and seeing their skill set develop and grow.
I worked when required from the age of 16 years old in a variety of event companies in Hong Kong, until I recently left Hong Kong to start my Quest Professional course in London. The work would often vary from waitressing at upmarket events to charitable fundraising occasions. Key skills gained were excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure and improvise when a dilemma arose.
