About me

Ruby Bannister is a mixed media textile designer for surface innovation, specialising in digital print, CAD embroidery and laser cutting. Ruby has a passion for surface quality exploration, using her attention to colour and textile processes to generate movement within her collections for luxury fashion. Ruby is honoured to have been awarded a Madeira student sponsorship for her final collection and team bursary winner for AUB Innovation x Lush collaboration. She will be exhibiting at New Designers online and The Festival of Quilts later this year in 2021

"ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE"preserving heritage through digital influences as our world becomes more virtual. As our museums, artworks and archives were closed off during the pandemic their access turned to digital forms through virtual tours and virtual reality. Inspired by historic and cultural resources of the poet and playwright William Shakespeare. This collection aims to bridge the gap between the past and present with a modern approach to the historic imagery, designed for luxury womenswear sport chic infused.

Life Grows onLife Grows On – despite the chaos of lockdown, nature continues to flourish. Inspired by local gardens and green-spaces blossoming during the Covid crisis.
