About me
My name is Ruby Dhal and I'm a content creator and writer, author and blogger from London. Using books as a form of escapism from the real world as a child, my passion for writing grew immeasurably in the years that followed. For me, writing is not just an art; it is an outlet, a means of expression, a special connection between the reader and the source the writing comes from - be it the writer, a brand, a company or a person who wants to get a message across. I'm a speaker, an author of 3 books and have graduated with a Master's and an Undergraduate degree in Philosophy. I have a social media following of over 350,000 people on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, allowing me to impact readers in developing a positive perspective of life. I do this through words that enlighten, empower and encourage them. The themes that I write about on my social media handles vary from love, heartbreak, relationships, healing, to mental health, depression, grief and healing journeys. I've written over a dozen articles on the same topics for some of the best online lifestyle magazines and I also write website content for brands and new startups. I run writing workshops in schools and educational spaces for young people who are passionate about creating, but the prospect of starting is daunting for them. Writing isn't just a job for me, it's a means of building positive relationships with people and expressing myself daily. Aside from working and writing professionally, I personally write up to 7,000 words weekly to improve my skills as a writer and gain proficiency in my field. Because practice is what accentuates our talent and skills, and hard work is what allows us to attain our goals.
