Ruby Williams is a British photographer with an interest in experimental lighting and camera techniques, shooting particularly dream-like images with consistent blurring to create ghostly and isolating portraits. Obscuring of faces and capturing movement are the consistent themes that run through her photographs, her process described as capturing people’s personalities and energy through the slow shutter technique. She has recently delved into more high fashion elements with her work in order to elevate the visual appeal of her images, as well as constantly looking for more experimental ways to light subjects to encourage an ethereal visual. Her work has been published in the magazine Storehouse and has assisted for established photographers in London, and is looking to elevate her lighting work on every shoot she does.
