Do you really want to delete project 8: Magical Thnking?
As a lover of stories and storytelling, I'm fervent about writing/ directing/ producing. My production company, DessyMak Productions is a guerrilla filmmaking company and our shorts films have been selected for festivals such as LSFF and Underwire and YoungCuts. I currently work as the director/ director of photography on the production team at MAGNIFY magazine. MAGNIFY is a high-end fashion magazine for women distributed both nationally and internationally. I also freelance as an assistant, camera op and editor, varying from studio films to corporates, to independent films.
MAGNIFY explores Faith, Feminism and Fashion through a printed magazine, blog and events. I am the director/ director of photography on the MAGNIFY production team. My role involves creating online content monthly. This ranges from interviews to promos and events. Being on the MAGNIFY production team also means shooting behind the scenes content and creating promotional material for the print magazine.
I have camera operated at for events, promotional material, documentaries and narrative music videos. Most recently, I worked as a shooting PD and editor for a 3 part documentary called HUNGER, soon to be released by poet and artist, Nego True. I am also working on four narrative music videos for upcoming singer/songwriter Rufaro, working with a fantastic cast and crew. I was commissioned as the photographer for Princess Anne's visit to the The Sulgrave Club. I've also photographed at accredited film festivals, events, headshots, book covers, promotional content and portraits. My passion and experience in photography developed whilst assisting and producing for brand and commercial photographer, John Adrian.
I worked for John Adrian photography (2013 - 2014) as his camera assistant, although my role was very flexible and I was employed on a number of corporate and commercial shoots as location scout, location manager, production manager and producer. During this time, I did a lot of varied work, learning to be more adaptable and finding creative solutions to obstacles. At times, I operated second camera for shoots, always overseen and approved by lead photographer John Adrian. I had the opportunity to work with brilliant brands clients such as, EE and PwC global.
Runyararo's work as production runner at MPC was a great entry into the industry. Having the opportunity to work alongside some of the best artists and producers, which led to a wider understanding of the post production process and work flows.
