About me
During my Textile Design Degree, I specialised in Knitted and Digitally Printed Textiles, and developed a passion for and experience in designing fabrics and products that used sustainable, recycled and / or natural fibres. My Degree Collection aimed to promote a deeper connection to nature whilst creating lifestyle trends through research of today's social climate. As a Graduate, I am currently a freelance Interior and Furniture Content Writer for Out & Out - a job that allows me to use my research skills and written abilities. My true passion within the world of Fashion, Textiles, and Interiors, is the research into and practice of innovative, sustainable processes and systems, in order to evolve these industries into ones that make a more positive impact on the planet.

The Sustainability in Practice (SiP) Certificate is split into three optional topics - Food, Energy, and Clothing. It is embedded into course modules at NTU, and is aimed to help students increase their employability and contribute to students' SDGs and sustainable literacy. I focussed on the topic of Clothing, and carried out detailed research into the use of the food waste of Sicilian oranges, broken down and spun into yarn to be used in the Fashion Industry.
