I also run an eponymous blog and social media community which was awarded in 2016 as the Scottish Blogger of the Year for Scotland, and in 2017 was shortlisted for Best Sustainable Online Business, at The Herald Fashion Awards. Alongside this, I write a paid industry newsletter called The Ethical Fashion Roundup, and co-host a podcast called Common Threads. I was the full-time, in-house Brand Storyteller at LS Productions, the UK’s largest service production company. I created and curated content for all communication channels from social media, email and website development, to press, events, direct client marketing and internal communications. LS Productions produce TV commercials, fashion campaigns, print editorials, branded online content and music videos for clients around the world, from Chanel and Vogue to BMW and Samsung.
For the month of August, I worked as a supervisor for the Craft Scotland Summer Show, where I assisted in the set up of a world-renowned exhibition, co-ordinated a group of 37 creatives, served customers, managed and merchandised stock, and organised workshops and other events. Summer Show is Craft Scotland’s annual selling exhibition, showcasing the work of designer/makers from across Scotland. Running as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, it gives locals and visitors to the capital the opportunity to see and buy high-quality, original, contemporary craft.
