Within my foundation degree course I underwent the exploratory stage for the first 4-5 weeks. Each week provided experience on and samples for the 4 possible pathways I could choose from at the end of the exploratory stage. On a whole, I found this particular stage of the course to be highly enjoyable, as I felt encouraged to freely express my own interpretations on subject matters and mini project briefs.
Going into the Fashion Promotion pathway, I explored and learnt about the many fields within fashion promotion and how it’s a key element, and the drive behind the fashion & clothing industry. I worked and collaborated on mini projects and briefs throughout the course, taking on different and sometimes the same roles within group projects, to assess which field within fashion promotion I got the most enjoyment out of. In doing this, I found that I was most passionate for Creative Direction and Photography.
