25 Golden Rings“Bandbreite” (band width/range) Based on five different, self-selected, principles, I developed a range of fingerrings, with a special attention to the reproductibility. There is no soldering included in the process. The whole collection is made out of the same metal band.
TranspleatablesWe live in a world in transition where the urban domain continually bridges and interweaves the zones between nature and culture. Inspired by the architecture and its structural shapes, these body pieces are to be seen as portable architecture. Both architecture and accessories are concerned with the appreciation of material, the ability to organise information and how humans function within their environments. The accessories are to be conceived as “dynamic structures” between the built environment and the immediate needs. These pieces are transformed from a two-dimensional plane façade into a three-dimensional spatial zone, into wearable structures.
entanglementsCrocheting plays an important role in this jewellery collection. The necklaces, bracelets and pendant earrings are made of industrially manufactured bead or curb chains which, crocheted partly or entirely, make for density and volume or an airy, ornamental structure. However the jewellery pieces retain movable.
