His ability to instantly grasp the personality of the people in front of the camera allows him to put them at ease and realise deeply intimate portraits that reflect their personalities. This skill, along with the capacity of meeting tight deadlines, has led him to photograph people of international fame. Over the years he has photographed some of the most famous stars of the fashion industry (Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Silvia Fendi, Matthew Williamson, Kean Etro, Alberta Ferretti, Brian Atwood, Tommy Hilfiger), as well as many top businessmen. Cinema has always been Lalas’ passion and recently he decided to dedicate more time to the art. Regularly in Los Angeles, he has shot for People and Esquire magazines, amongst others, portraits of big movie industry names such as Patrick Tatopoulos (the production designer of Batman Vs Superman), Phedon Papamichael (director of photography & 2014 Oscar nominee for Nebraska), and Spyros Skouras, a film agent and grandson of the legendary Skouras president of 20th Century Fox from 1942-1962. His photos are published in many top international magazines, including W & WWD (Conde Nast) in the USA, Style (Corriere Della Sera magazine) and Cosmopolitan, GENTE in Italy, Marie Claire Taiwan, GQ China, Esquire Greece, Business Punk, Stern in Germany and TheSundayTimes , Town&Country in the U.K.
