Photography to me is a way of expressing the inner depth of perception and communication. In my style of photography I like to play with these elements, using intricate details of my subjects. Inspired by how they are constructed and creating emotion which to me, speaks to the viewer. I translate this concept into my work ethic; focusing on details, constantly communicating and thinking of how I could be perceived to a potential employer. I have an extensive working history with customer service, being disciplined, serving with a professional, and personable approach. As a visual and practical learner, motivated by being hands on with challenging tasks. I strive to make a great first impression, adhering to positive outcomes. I am currently employed as a deputy manager within an independent retailers, where I have had an uplifting experience of strengthening confidence and relief managing 7 out of the 8 company branches. I have proven to work efficiently and be a flexible, open minded team player where communication is key for our small team. I have gained technical skills of computer softwares, and dealing with data on a daily basis. As well as being in the retail industry, I have been a freelance photographer to keep my imagination flowing, with personal projects and contracted employment. I enjoy using my portable Bowens photography studio; experimenting with light and shadow for play, and product photography for work. At university I learned about producing imagery to commercial standards, client specification, and gaining proficient knowledge of studio photography, editing software and studio equipment. I also experimented with my imagery through manipulation, both hand and digitally, as well as product placement exploring fashion and textile design. As my heart really lies within photography, I wish to utilise my experience and capability of achieving a career with this inspiring and developing medium with creative industries.

My university final degree work was specialised in digitally printed textiles. It was motivated by fashion designers and artists who are inspired by organic anatomy. I also looked into the similar properties of intricate details in flowers. I aimed to produce the work for visual contexts and subjects. It was to the show the variation and possibilities of where my imagery could be seen. Some of the outcomes were fashion illustrations, silk scarves and a floor cushion.
