Sally Slingsby (b. 1995) is a visual artist and artistic director based in Liverpool, UK. Exploring the lexicon of online interaction, her recent series of work studies the mechanisms of social media and the jurisdiction of behaviour when operating through online spaces. Slingsby has exhibited as a solo artist and in group shows throughout the UK.
Slingsby is the founder of #DANST a six month project working to support and champion digital artists based in Merseyside through a programme of events and exhibitions hosted with The Royal Standard. The Royal Standard is an artist-led gallery, studio complex and registered charity based in Liverpool, which Slingsby joined in 2018 having been awarded an artist residency prize. In July 2019 Slingsby joined the team of Artistic Directors at The Royal Standard.
She co-founded artist-run collective YAW an initiative working to facilitate studio spaces for emerging artists with The Independents Biennial Liverpool 2018 and is currently working with the Liverpool Art Fair 2019.
