Following an extended period working with Maroon Productions, I next teamed up with Juan Manuel Biain (director of Junco Films) and created a script for a short film that he was producing. This experience helped me to study and learn about yet another aspect of screenwriting and I was able to draw on my background of comedy and documentaries to develop something fresh that we both felt proud of.

Working alongside my boss and producer, Paul Blake, I am responsible for writing up our documentary ideas as final scripts, which we then sent to the commissioner of the selected television channel. Many of our films are based around sensitive subjects such as discrimination, drugs, gangs and mental health. This wide array of topics has allowed me to learn so much about how different communities deal with grief. I have also learned how to structure an outline for a documentary and also now have great experience when it comes to editing a script and working towards deadlines.
