After a wonderful three years reading Politics and Economics at Loughborough University, I graduated with First Class Honours.
On the politics side, I had a paper on ‘the search for a definition of terrorism’ published in a political journal; was top of the class in ‘Power, Politics and Participation in the Digital age’ - an elective final year module; and conducted extensive research for my dissertation, gaining expertise on the relationship between neoliberalism and freedom in the contexts of climate change, technological disruption and collapsing democracies.
In first year economics, I received a more classical training in micro and macroeconomics and international economic theory, and later excelled in more niche modules such as ‘Economics of Social Policy’ and was top of class in Financial Economics.
