Hi, I'm Sam, though sometimes I am known as clubmedsucks. What orginally started as a funny instagram handle quickly became a way for people to remember me and my work.
I started my career mainly filming surf, however, after I began working with Stab as their head of video together with the editor in chief, Ashton.
Although Stab was still very much incorporated in the surf world, we also did a lot of commercial productions, where we worked with Vans, Monster Energy, Db, and so on, which led me to travel into some of the most popular, but also some of the most remote surf locations in the world.
After 5 years or so, I decided to relocate to Europe and start working freelance. For the past two years now, I've been creating a series called "Pack Heavy Chase Light" together with Db, which consists of two seasons full of documentary profiles about creatives and how they incorporate Db products in their daily lives.
After moving to Europe, my projects now vary from filming artists and snowboarders residencies in the Swiss Alps (Tidal Artshow), profiles on W hotels in Ibiza and Greece, snow touring in Iceland and many more, which continuously allows me to test my own limits and abilities.
As of now, I still live in Oxford with my wife, however, we are planning our move to Bern, Switzerland, and I am looking for new challenges not only in action sports, but commercial projects too.
