About me

I am a versatile and dynamic creative, with extensive experience in all stages of the creative and production process. I have worked for a variety of major brands and channels, working on projects through concept creation to planning, casting, production, client management, budgeting, self-shooting, directing, edit producing and successful delivery. I am highly proficient in the use of a range of cameras including the Canon C300, Canon 5D, Sony F55, Canon XF305, and I am experienced in using Final Cut Pro and a range of post production software.

  • Ramblers Association | Online Content | Mar – May 15 Commissioned to produce two films for the national walking charity to highlight the work of a lottery funded initiative promoting health walks among inactive communities. Managed all stages of production – from working with the client to devise scripts and storyboards, shooting and directing, and editing the content Shooting Director Mr Tom Films | VisitBritain | Online Content | Feb 15 Shooting a promotional film for the GB tourist board about Britain as a destination for LGBT travellers. Involved shooting and directing on location in Manchester and Wales.

  • Atomized Entertainment | Channel 4oD | British Gas | Jun - Dec 14 Shooting and directing a series of short human story films called ‘Home Truths’ as part of Channel 4’s ‘4Shorts’ season, exclusive to 4oD. Involved story research and casting, scheduling and planning shoots, self-shooting, and directing other shooting producers on location. Also involved edit producing multiple stories. Project was ad-funded by British Gas.

  • The Job Academy | VCCP Kin | | Sep – Dec 13 Ad-funded online reality series for in which 5 jobless young people undergo a week of coaching to transform their prospects. Involved working with producer to devise content, designing series format and style, directing 3 camera units, main camera shooting, editing, and edit producing, which included cutting the main opener to the show. The series won an IAB Creative Showcase Award.

  • Atomized Entertainment | Matalan | Jun – Sep 13 Producing branded lifestyle content for fashion retailer Matalan in tie-in with ITV’s This Morning and Bauer Media in line with product range. Involved originating content, sourcing and casting contributors, setting up shoots, script writing and directing on location.

  • ‘Circle’ Hospital commercial | Halo Films | Dec 13- Apr 14 Devising and producing TV advert for innovative private/NHS hospital in its bid to attract new patients in the west of England. Involved writing the concept treatment, casting, planning and scheduling shoots, shooting/directing and edit producing. Project also extended to producing, directing and editing a short film as an online tie-in to the TVC, promoting the hospital through the eyes of patients, surgeons and staff.
