  • Coordinating marketing and social media activity for leading British handbag brands Fiorelli, Modalu England and Nica Handbags. My key duties include: - Writing copy for print and online, including catalogues, product and web. - Coordinating photo shoots for seasonal campaigns, web content and social media. - Briefing designers for in store POS, advertisements, event invitations and lookbooks. - Liaising with the PR agency to secure national and international press coverage. - Working with the marketing and creative teams to organise seasonal press events. - Managing the social media content for Fiorelli on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. - Analysing marketing and social media activity to improve future sales. - Working closely with the marketing manager to plan and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • A fast paced and varied role working closely with the Marketing Manager in a small team producing marketing campaigns for an independent group of seven bars across the East Midlands. My key duties included: - Copywriting and proof-reading print material and content for the group website. - Managing the design, content and distribution of bimonthly E-Newsletters. - Briefing designers for event POS, signage, advertisements and menus. - Organising ad hoc events for each of the seven sites. - Writing and distributing press releases and building relationships with local press contacts. - Assisting on photo and video shoots for each of the seven sites. - Creating and implementing social media campaigns for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  • During my time at Vogue, I assisted the fashion features team with sample returns, liaised with PR’s on a daily basis, built relationships with important contacts in the fashion industry, transcribed interviews, answered telephone calls, dealt with important emails, helped research looks for pages in the May and June issues.

The Nottingham Post

  • I undertook two separate work placements at Nottinghamshire’s biggest local paper. The first was organized through my university where I and two other students on my course were responsible for working on a ‘post code push’ in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. I created a survey and went out into Hucknall and asked local residents and local businesses what could be improved in the city centre. I used this information to construct questions and interview locals which I then transcribed and assisted in writing a double page spread feature which was published in print. The second placement was one week of work experience at the newspaper. I was responsible for sourcing contacts, handling telephone calls and important emails in the office, pitching ideas for stories and going out to different areas of Nottingham to undertake interviews. I also wrote three articles for the newspaper all of which were published in print and online.

  • During my time at Toast PR, I worked alongside a small team and was given many opportunities which helped me develop a thorough understanding of the fast paced PR industry. My main duties included writing press releases for fashion and lifestyle brands including Gossard, Berlei and Fineside, pitching to both local and national media, sourcing important contacts and making important telephone calls to clients and publications.
