Once again I have moved internally in the group, this time on IPG Mediabrands Group, from Reprise Media (Digital Agency) for Initiave Media. The idea was, since I had a total and global expertise from both Offline and Online, to be the team member which would be able to help further in the digital field, since the rest of the team members only planned Offline and Digital for Portuguese Media Players, not Performance ones. Here I started working Pingo Doce, my major client, which is one of the most important Retail players for Portugal. However, I participate in the strategy, media review analysis, planning, controlling and optimization, billing and reporting process of the brand.
This was also a huge opportunity since I was allowed to dive more deeply in the Performance Part of Digital, more specifically in Google and Facebook. During this year I have worked Johnson & Johnson, Lidl, Robbialac, Daikin, Perfetti Van Melle (Mentos & Chupa Chups), Sovena, Bioten, Parlamento Europeu, Vileda and Sociedade Ponto Verde. Here I was focused on Performance Campaigns only, so Google Search, Google Ads, Youtube Video and Facebook.
I have always wanted to learn more about the Digital Area and, still in 2012, I got the internal opportunity to swap into the group's Digital Agency, which was Isobar Portugal. Here I started developing my expertise in Digital for Chevrolet, Nokia, Kellogg's, Mattel and Montepio, which allowed me, once again, to know other markets, work with different media, with a different target which required different approaches. In these clients we have not only cars but toys, cereals, technology and a bank. However, these clients were for the first year, because the next two I would have the huge opportunity to work Procter & Gamble (Hair Care, Home Care, Men Care, Baby Care and Health Care), Mondelez (Belvita, Halls, Milka, Oreo, Royal, Trident, Triunfo and Tuc), Galp, Cabovisão and Microsoft.
I had the chance to change Agency to embrace a new client which was TMN, one of the biggest Telecomunications client in Portugal, Uzo and Nokia. This was a great opportunity to learn new strategies, new approaches, get to know and negociate with new media and to work a more massive product.
After the Internship I was able to stay at the agency to become a Media Planner when I learned how to plan the mediaplans for the same clients. For my daily tasks I had the planning of the campaigns, booking the space with the media owners and, regarding TV and Radio, control and optimize the campaigns. I was also one of the team members dedicated to the billing and reporting process, once the campaigns finished. The last 2 years were the biggest challenge at the agency, when I started to work Cofidis, a huge credit client which had an enormous amount of TV Campaigns and Sponsorships.
After leaving the University I had the opportunity to apply it in MPG which was the number 1 Media Agency in Portugal at that time. I started from the bottom learning to book the space with the media owners, in all Offline Media, for Nestlé Portugal, La Redoute, Repsol and Air Luxor, the clients I worked with.
