I am a senior digital product designer with fifteen years of experience in working with large and complex digital products. Recently I have focused on UX, user research support, design and art direction, design management and stakeholder liaison, mentoring, and initiating collaborative workshops concerning modular design principles and systems for web and native mobile apps.
Projects
- Guardian Soulmates RebrandSoulmates is an online dating service and a commercial business of the British Guardian newspaper. During my time at the Guardian, I worked as a senior designer alongside an external agency to develop a custom typeface, new logo, icon set, imagery and copy to form an entire print and digital brand intended to reflect the spirit and energy of Soulmates, alongside the credibility of the Guardian.
- BBC GoodFood App SuiteBBC GoodFood has been featured by Apple in its Rewind 2010 highlights, as New and Noteworthy, and as a Staff Pick. It is part of a family of GoodFood recipe applications: other iPhone and iPad apps include the Festive Recipes app, Cake recipes, Quick recipes and One-Pot Recipes. In 2010, BBC Cake Recipes, BBC Quick Recipes, BBC Healthy Food and BBC Festive Recipes were all in the top 10 highest grossing apps in the ‘Lifestyle’ category on the iTunes App Store (UK). In 2011, the BBC GoodFood Classic app was in the top 10 ‘free’ category on Google Play. Role: Concept, interaction and visual design.
