Account Executive (February 2013 – May 2014) Solely responsible for accounts such as the Science Museum Group, Somerset House, The Mermaid Conference and Events Centre, and Evolve Events. I also worked on projects for Strada, the V&A, Natural History Museum, the Royal Opera House and Senate House. I was responsible for both strategy and management of the accounts, generating coverage in print and online media. I created press releases, opinion pieces, award applications and social media content, as well as proofread and translated marketing material. I was also involved in new business and pitching. Example coverage: The Independent, Evening Standard, Daily Express, Best, Closer, HELLO!, Square Meal, Your London Wedding, Event Magazine, Conference & Incentive Travel Magazine. PR Assistant (September 2012 – February 2013) Assisted with all client accounts and was responsible for the smooth running of the office, providing administrative support and improving efficiency and standards across all front and back-office disciplines. During this time, I was also responsible for a PR and social media campaign for the collaborative showcase event Strictly SW7, hosted by the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and the V&A, liaising with the venues, suppliers and the media. The campaign contributed to a new client win for the company; the Science Museum. PR Intern (June 2012 – September 2012) Assisted with several campaigns, created PR plans and monthly reports, and carried out research. I was also in charge of managing and monitoring the clients’ social media accounts. PR Intern (June 2011 – August 2011) Worked across all client accounts whilst also assisting with a large fashion event targeted towards PAs, where I managed the invites and a guest list of over 200 people. I also carried out research, created monthly reports and monitored the clients’ social media accounts.
As a member of the B2C team, I worked on accounts such as Schwarzkopf, Specsavers and Henkel, creating monthly reports, carrying out competitor research and drafting press releases. I assisted with both press events and consumer events, creating targeted media lists, putting together press packs, inviting press and bloggers, as well as assisting with logistics on the day of the event. I was also responsible for securing coverage of Specsavers’ new product range.
