Work history
Cultural Affairs Representative - Translator - Event ManagerEmbassy of Argentina in the United Kingdom
- London, United KingdomFull Time
As the administrator of the Cultural Section at the Argentine Embassy in London, I curated and supervised projects (46 events) spanning music, dance, film, literature, human rights, visual arts, gastronomy, and more. In addition to curating cultural initiatives, I served as Events Coordinator and Event Manager. My responsibilities included establishing contact with Argentine artists and personalities to facilitate collaborations, ensuring the successful execution of cultural programs, translating and interpreting when necessary, handling confidential information, and compiling and preserving records of completed activities.
The 46 cultural and human rights events I curated and managed for the Embassy included Argentina 1985 BAFTA Awards with Infinity Hill Productions, the Curatorial Fellowship at Delfina Foundation,Women Powering Smart Energy: A Conversation with Dr. Micaela Caminos, the London Design Festival (LDF), Open House Festival, London Goes Tango, Echoes Festival, London Craft Week, Argentina Celebrates PRIDE, Programa Sur: Translation Support Program, the Gabriel Chaile and Laura Ojeda Bär Exhibition, and many more.
I organized Argentina's participation in the London Design Festival, which featured contributions from 20 designers, including Velasco, Kalu Gryb, Milagros Pereda, Illari, Garcia Bello, Maydi, Mercedes Costal, Leticia Paschetta, Blackñandú, Cabinet Oseo, Nikole Tursi, O Guitar, Oruga, The White Lodge, Mantara, ChapaNegra, Casa Capital, Matriz Design, animaná, and Eter Studio.
To strengthen Argentina's presence at LDF, my team and I co-created the 'ARGENTINE CREATIVE EXPERIENCE (ACE)'. ACE aimed to associate Argentina's image with creativity as a global differentiator, emphasizing qualities like adaptability, ingenuity, sensitivity, tradition, and environmental and productive responsibility. It opened commercial avenues for exporting distinctive services and products while creating a cultural emblem that positioned Argentina as a leader in the creative industries. Our efforts set a global precedent with a series of actions showcasing the exclusivity of Argentine products and the added value provided by talented designers.
For London Craft Week and London Fashion Week, I selected Argentine designer Clara Pinto to present her first FW22 collection at the Argentine Ambassador’s Residence. Centered on innovative textile design, Clara's FW22 collection featured tailored coats and jackets with naturally dyed organic
wool interventions, cornstarch bioplastics, and her signature ethereal felted embroidered dresses. The collection also included a jewelry line of irregular freshwater pearls with bio-resin, created in collaboration with artist Sara Chyan.
