  • I set up as a freelance publicist over the summer to broaden my experiences and grow as a professional, starting out doing freelance work alongside a full-time publicity job. In December 2016 I took the leap and left full time work to focus on finding new opportunities and learn new things. From September to November 2016 I looked after the PR for Vintage TV (fixed term contract). This required ensuring TV listings, images and key information and stories were sent out via the mailing list and pitched to media. I also attended filming days to generate media ideas and supported events associated with the channel – including a themed live-music weekend at Butlins. I am currently a full-time, freelance campaign manager at Lucid Online working across various new music campaigns – mainly indie, electronic and R&B releases – plus tech business PR campaigns including MTV Trax. Key Skills • Confident on Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and Excel. • Tech savvy with an ability to quickly adapt to new IT systems. • Extensive knowledge of UK press and media. • Excellent communication skills. • Client services. • Confident phone manner and engaging copy and press release writing. • Networking and the ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally with media contacts and clients. • Ability to work multiple projects, multitask and prioritise jobs. • Creativity and flexibility. • Initiative to solve problems. • Research. • Crisis management. • Ability to work with embargoes and sensitive or confidential information • Ability to work collaboratively in a group. • Leadership and tutoring. • Excellent knowledge of popular social media platforms. • First Aid trained – Adult First Aid with British Red Cross.
