Artist and educator who loves working with children and sharing her passion for the arts. Art is a form of expression, understanding images is visual literacy, reading images is story telling. Art is extremely important to make and understand the world we live in. Art is more prominent today than it has ever been, we see it everywhere we look; through new technologies, marking, understanding others, the economy, and even in teaching the youth of many cultures and backgrounds. There is an art to everything. I believe art is what helps people survive. Tomorrows jobs don't exist today. We need to teach students how to be creative, that everyone can be creative and that it is necessary to survive in this ever-changing world. Creativity is the key to the future, it is healing, is is expressing, it is informative and it is fun. As an art educator, I believe everyone has the potential to make and create. We need patience, integrity, and an open mind!
