At Flying Object I produce animation, film and video and design for social media campaigns. As we're a small studio I am also used to being account manager and project manager, simultaneously. Whilst at Flying Object I have performed as agency producer and producer of productions, both working directly with the client. Duties include: - working directly with the client - seeing a project through from pitch to delivery - drafting quotes using excel - building teams and monitoring their time and progress - managing project timelines and budgets - safe-guarding the quality of what is produced as well as its success at fulfilling the original brief Clients include YouTube, Google, Bloomsbury Publishing, BAFTA, and Turning Broadcasting.
For my second return to indie, 360Production, I developed and pitched several pilots for digital content to clients including Microsoft, Channel 4, Novartis pharmaceuticals. For Channel 4, I researched, cast, self-shot and edit produced a pilot for their 'Shorts'. A series of 7 episodes were fully scoped and shown with the sizzler in person at pitch.
N&S are a studio speciliasing in animation, film and websites for environmental and social responsibility clients and campaigns. Whilst there, I produced several animations, an infographic, and websites.
I first joined 360Production as part of the team behind science and education YouTube channel, 'Head Squeeze' (now 'BritLab'), originally funded by Google and BBC Worldwide. The channel published 5 videos a week, and I was responsible for 2-3 of these series. My duties included: - editorial research - script writing - production planning - directing talent and crew on shoots - edit producing - delivering metadata and files - community engagement I later took over channel management, budget allocation and audience development for the channel, and scoped out the options for developing the channel as a franchise.
I moved to Northern Ireland to join the well-respected production training scheme run by BBC Northern Ireland, Creative Skillset and Northern Ireland Screen. The course consisted of work-based training in TV production within BBC Northern Ireland and independent production companies in the region. Practical training was also completed in the following areas: camera, sound, lighting and editing, for self-shooting and studio broadcast.
