Work history

Currently

Founder & Creative Director

The Watercooler

Aug 2013
  • I created and produced and now direct The Watercooler; New Zealand's best and most prolific story telling event. You can hear our stories on iTunes or on Soundcloud under The Wireless. We partnered up with The Wirelesss at Radio New Zealand to give the stories a wider audience. These are some of the most successful posts on their website. We open in Wellington in August and Sarah has managed to keep the show going even with her move to London as she has hired a producer for each city to keep it running. She still is in charge of the branding, website and newsletter.

2015

Producer

ETC Productions

Sep 2014 - Mar 2015
  • This play was a great success. It showcased 6 of Auckland's best and brightest comedic actors and one of Basement Theatres more innovative sets. Sarah did the casting, hiring of crew, promotions, venue and ticket office liaising, scheduled the rehearsals and wardrobes and stage managed the show every night.

2012

Director of Interactive Art Installation

Vibracorp

Nov 2011 - Feb 2012
  • The Splore festival showcased Vibracorps interactive art installation which was effectively giving its participants the experience of being inside a video game. Sarah managed the props, the headquarters, the volunteer artists. She sourced much of the equipment and was the go- to person for updates and information on the installation.

2011

Festival Director

Vibracorp

Sep 2010 - Jan 2011
  • This one off special New Year music festival was a one of a kind experience for the 100+ ticket holders. I was the director working in collaboration with it's founder to maintain the grounds, allocate tent space, organise first aiders, organise the 24 hour music party for the New Year's eve function. Organise musicians and DJs as well as kitchen schedules, safety precautions and waste management. This incredibly successful event is still talked about and we are often begged to bring it back.

2009

Contractor

Blomfield PR

Mar 2009 - Jul 2009
  • Sarah was brought in house to pick up the organisation of the New Zealand Fashion Week Garage Sale which included staff training, stall allotment, security staff management, client liaising, inviting the best and brightest of the fashion world to come along and to drum up promotion leading up to the event. She also organised the live car stunt at the Top Gear live Launch party and was on staff for the launch as the director of the run sheet to make everything run smoothly. She also organised a one-off drive through ticket purchasing morning for Top Gear Live including free coffee and a pit crew for the full experience and early morning wake up. She was asked to write copy, liaise with product reviewers and be a happy and helpful face for the brand.
