Sarah Gleave is a London/Kent based Textile Designer and Photographer from Australia with a background in photography and glasswork (coldworking).
To create her textiles she uses a range of techniques including photography, plant dyes, collage, drawing, painting and digital manipulation. Sarah’s work is driven by her passion for nature and environmental issues, and her artistic style is created through natural and photographic application of floral patterns and colours.
She has a background in product and lifestyle photography, specialising in furniture and homewares.
Sarah completed her degree in MA Textile Design at the University of the Arts London – Chelsea College of Arts. She previously graduated with Honours in Photography and Media Arts in 2011 from the Australian National University, and was awarded the Alliance Francaise Exhibition Award 2011 and the Emerging Artist ACT Legislative Assembly Award 2011.
