I have spent three years completing a Theatre Design degree. This involved learning new skills in prop design, costume design and stage design. I have excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Auto cad as well as diverse range of design skills. I have completed multiple placements with Events teams and in the Theatre, from which I have gained invaluable skills and knowledge.
I am currently carrying out a six-week internship as a Designer Assistant to the Jersey Wear team at Stuart Peters Design. My role is focused on organisation and administration, as well as editing designs using Photoshop and Illustrator .
I spent two weeks with Lexis Pr as part of the Reverb Events team. Here I researched social ideas, catering and design ideas for client press days. I also worked as a Production Assistant at a launch event for one of the companies regular clients, I was involved in the set up and get out of the event as well as prop construction before the event and on the day.
In September 2015 I spent one week at Malcolm Hollis in the Events department. During this time I researched and visited locations, organised a Graduate team event and booked photographers for a company event.
I undertook multiple realised and speculative design projects that developed my visual and technical skills. Alongside creative design skills such as; model making, site specific design, puppetry, props making and costume design and making, I also learnt practice skills including; construction, budgeting and stage management. I developed theatre work for local school children as part of a team of designers and performers. I was also given the opportunity to design and stage manage independently, in collaboration with New college Nottingham and first-year drama students.
