The Gild is a global brand consultancy specialising in insight, strategy, innovation and creative. I worked on projects that pushed creativity and design alongside a fantastic team. My role sat (literally) in-between the strategy and creative teams, (which in my eyes is ‘The Sweet-spot’). This role stretched from involvement in the initial briefing phase, participating in market research, trend-hunting, through to platform creation, opportunity mapping, concept creation & visualisations, to sitting behind a mirrored wall reviewing and developing concepts based on consumer feedback. My highlights included visiting Hong Kong to explore innovation opportunities within the beer category, re-imagining the future of home-care products, creating new innovations for my favourite British chocolate brand. Clients include: Argus, C&A, Campari, Carlsberg, Diageo, Distell, Florette, Kelloggs, Mondelez, Milka, Nike, Skyy Vodka, Unilever, WBA, Victorias Secret and Yotel.
I was fortunate enough to begin my journey in the design world with mentoring from some of the UK’s most prestigious designers, through the country’s top design school – Central Saint Martins, gaining a cross-discipline grounding in the wider design process.
I was honoured to be awarded 1 of the 3 prizes for Best Innovators during the HackTrain event. The HackTrain Hackathon is a 48-hour event that brings together software developers, UI/UX designers and innovators for the purpose of solving the rail industries biggest problems. I was part of the 120 participants that travelled across the UK on first-class carriages building software solutions at 125mph.
