Dear whoever it may concern. My name is Sarah Pritchard, I am a 21 year old graduate looking to move back to Bristol permanently in September 2016 after completing my degree. I have acquired a range a skills over the last few years from my degree and my previous job roles. I am a hard working, dedicated person with exceptional time keeping skills and strong communication qualities. I am looking to find a new job where I feel my needs will be met and my comfort zones will be pushed. I have high social media, public relations and people skills and hope to put this to test in my next job. Recruitment, PR and Marketing are the main sectors I am looking into at the moment however I am open to new options.
I currently work for The Lucky Onion, a set of Boutique Hotels, B&Bs, bars and restaurants. My jobs involve looking after 7 different sites – emails, phone lines/switchboard, events, reservations, ticket sales and admin. I also help out and cover reception at one of the sites, No.38 The Park. I enjoy reception work as I get to meet and greet the people I have been speaking with over the phone for months. Here I have learnt to improve my verbal communication, team work, commercial awareness, initiative and self-motivation skills, written communication, flexibility and time management.
I founded my own website in April 2016. I already have 24K followers on twitter, 6000 on Instagram and 60+ subscribers to the website. By creating my blog, I hope to bring my followers the newest crazes in Makeup, hair products and skin care. I also hope to bring my travels alive and share my life with you all. I currently work with brands and am always looking to expand!. I also work with PR companies and review their clients up and coming products to increase their awareness. Here I worked on the TV and audio desk where I furthered my customer service and stock skills. This experience helped me learn stock take and sales pitches. I also learned to work in a fast pace environment.
Where I learnt to work under pressure in a stressful, fast-paced environment. Here I learnt to take orders, use a till and make food quickly while sticking to regulations and safety procedures.
This position helped me deal with unhappy and very often difficult customers. It also helped me build my retail experience as I often worked after hours doing stock and standards. I believe this experienced helped me see I am good with people and enjoy being able to interact with them.
Psychiatric Ward - Whilst working there I developed skills with working with difficult people and hostile situations. I also learnt how to calm people down whilst observing them and work with older individuals, helping me to fit into the role with ease. I volunteered my skills in order to help and learn more about my course at university. I learned how to read and understand people in a way I could not do before.
