  • Supporting the Senior HR Business Partner to deliver a brand aligned HR strategy for HQ and Retail Stores across North America region. Responsibilities include: HR Administration, employment contracts, KPI reporting, designated projects, employee relations and first line management / coaching for the HR Apprentice. Achievements to date include: • Assisted with the delivery of a redundancy programme which impacted both the UK and overseas. Outputs were produced on time and professionally administered within the statutory legal framework • Supporting Managers with the extending/finishing of fixed term employment contracts, probationary periods, personal development plans and appraisals • Monthly reporting on absence levels. Designed a ‘Performance Management Toolkit’ and trained Store Managers on its use. Conduct disciplinary meetings and investigations when required.

Key learning relevant to developing individuals within the workplace and to further dissertation research. Dissertation: ‘Emotional intelligence and mental toughness in Human Resource Management’. This study, supported by HR professionals at Smith & Nephew Advanced Wound care Division, included data gathering, face-to-face interviews to understand their job roles and use of psychometric testing in measuring levels of Mental Toughness.
