Time Spent Preparing for a Lateral Career Move INTO the Creative Sector

Jan 2015
  • Since January 2015 I have been on a sabbatical spending my time travelling, studying and interning to gain a wider insight and business understanding in preparation for a lateral career move. During this time I also created and launched a small scale clothing brand, Visionary People; an emerging online luxury streetwear brand specialising in limited edition clothing in collaboration with creatives.


Artist Manager


May 2015 - Dec 2014
  • A start up management company. My role was to oversee the day to day business affairs of our artists, but crucially; to recognise the needs of each and fulfil these effectively. I worked across all four accounts covering; A&R, promotions, marketing, live and touring, and brand development, alongside liaising with publishers and record companies. Holy-Toto is a start up formed by Johnny Pinchard (Snakehips [nominated for a MOBO 2015] & TCTS) & Daniel Bearman (Snakehips, Bondax, Royce Wood Jr). Key Achievements: - Two artists signed new deals with Sony Music and MTA Records. - Created and managed new social media identities. - Planned, developed and executed promotional activities alongside singles.


Marketing Manager

  • London’s fastest growing independent estate agency group. My role was to grow the Dexters brand by winning new business and to construct and manage the marketing of my core area; all alongside managing an active lettings team to ensure sales and development targets were met. As Marketing Manager I was responsible for valuing and securing new property instructions, negotiating fees and brokering deals between landlord and tenants, plus handling problems and complaints. I was also responsible for the marketing of several London offices. Dexters is the flagship brand of the Thamesview Group; London’s fastest growing independent estate agency group. Key Achievements: - Promoted consistently: Joining as a trainee lettings consultant, I quickly became a consultant, senior consultant, and marketing manager within two and a half years as the company rapidly expanded. - Top Dexters Lettings Office (Total Sales) - 2010, 2011, 2013 - part of and managed strong sales teams. - Wrote the marketing material used by several offices and edited London wide success magazines.
