The primary roles that I assisted in were: the making of bespoke garments, sample making, print and colour matching; organisation of creative archives, trims and working in the production room; filing of returned sealing samples; visiting factories to observe and aid in quality checking processes and costing sheets; assisting in model casting and preparing for fashion shows.
My role at the Eudon Choi studio included (but are not limited to); communicating technical and creative ideas to designers; assisting designers to create mood boards; sourcing fabrics and trimmings, helping in fabric/print development; pattern tracing, toile making, digital printing, finishing samples; communicating to/and paying visits to factories; model casting and assisting in catwalk shows for London Fashion Week; managing creative assets throughout the project lifecycle; assisting in production procedures and costing sheets.
I was employed at Alexander McQueen’s print department, and my skills were extended to hand drawing, designing prints and brand logos to print onto garments, which also encompassed scarves and accessories. My job also included assisting head designers to create mood boards; fabric research and development; customizing dresses and Haute Couture sample making, and assisting in lookbook photo shoots.
I worked as a Fashion Assistant for Vogue China magazine. My duties were: to maintain departmental, administrative and operational routines, assist in editorial logistics, plan meetings, agendas and help to prepare presentations, engage in various fashion events and photo shoots; manage projects, attend meetings and respond to incoming mail and calls.
