Projects
  • Portfolio Case
Portfolio CaseWe’re in a creative industry, so why when we present our best work do we transport it in a mass-produced folder that can be purchased in any craft store nationwide. With no personalisation, variation or individuality the common black portfolio case has no place in our industry. My approach was to hand craft a portfolio, by using a single piece of timber. I wanted to exhibit my skills through the craft of the portfolio and tell the story of my design process. I drew inspiration from the traditonal Native American methods of story telling. Also drawing inspiration from visual style and appreciation of materials.
  • Buggy Burrito
Buggy BurritoThe brief I was challenged to change perceptions of insects by producing a food brand involving insect cuisine. The solution My solution was to create a bug based burrito brand selling Mexican food. The reason I chose Mexican food is its an easy style for street food also with a rich visuals.
  • Illustrated Biography
Illustrated BiographyThe Brief The challenge this brief set was to tell someone’s or something’s story in the form of an illustrated biography. The challenge I set myself was to bring to life the story of a car, the Ford GT40. By using visual language of the American motor industry to celebrate the cars history. The Solution My solution to the brief was to create a series of signs/plates to tell the story of the Ford GT40 winning its first race at Le Mans 50 years ago. Using the visual language surrounding American motoring and petrol stations of the time period, I created 3 info graphics telling significant parts of the story but also highlighting the cars performance, personality and heritage. My aim was to tell a different part of the story with every element of my design.
