My key responsibility when I started as a Senior Photographer at The Conran Shop was to set up a brand new E-commerce
photography studio within the Conran Shop warehouse/distribution centre. This involved purchasing and setting up all the necessary
equipment and software and working with the warehouse management to create a process to ensure stock is delivered in
and out of the studio whilst minimising disruption to the busy warehouse.
As part of the ongoing development of the studio I have employed and line manage 2 photographers, 2 retouchers and a stock
co-ordinator.
The Conran shop is a leading luxury retailer and has a huge range of product in which I am responsible to photograph.
The product varies including designer furniture photographed on a large photography set, clothing and small accessories shot on
a table top sets.

The National Museums of Scotland is the most visited attraction
outside London. As part of the museums ‘master-plan phase
3’ four new science & technology galleries and four new art &
design galleries will be opened.
My role within the collection services centre was to work along
side conservators, curators and other museum staff handling
the collection and producing photography for the hundreds of
objects included within the new galleries, including Art & design
and Science & Technology. This would be used across all
departments, archived and available online as well as published
in books and marketing material for the museum.
I worked in a small team in a well equipped studio along side the
head of photography. I helped deliver stunning 360 degree
photography on key objects in the museum, after an investment
in software and hardware in which I was an integral part of
setting up.
The photography varied from studio based, location and video
and the objects themselves varied hugely from small scale
delicate priceless china, historically significant fashion garments
and beautiful Art Nouveau furniture including much larger scale
items
