Training – Travelling across the UK and conducting technical product sales training with retailer personnel including ‘customer ready’ training. Provide hands-on, in-store demonstrations of equipment through lectures, Keynote presentations, and other means. I worked closely with the global trainer for Beats by Dr. Dre and had regular meetings at the Beats/Apple offices in London where he would train me and the team. Merchandising – Ensuring that all retailers marketing materials such as posters, pricing, stock and displays were all up to date and to the current standards set by Beats by Dr. Dre. Regional Sales – Answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products to customers. This includes: store visits. demonstrating/presenting products. Reporting – Daily and weekly reports on stock, compeitiors, merchandising and store performance.
Graphic design – This involves one to one bespoke web design, using photo shop and illustrator. Creating banners, advertising promotions, cutting and cropping images and adjusting colour balance. Marketing – This involves SEO, social media marketing, targeting traffic, campaigns, email outreach for our clients for brand building. Client Data Base - typical clients include several large corporations and fashion retailers, such as Choice Discount stores, (20 major stores nationwide), The Royals Shopping Centre and the NHS.
Administrator - Booking meetings for significient companys such as Capital FM, Gibson and Kolbalt Publishing. Diary management for the director and head of marketing. Answering the phone. This can include setting up meetings, communicating with partners and sourcing potential contact information for the company. User acquisition - This involves generating new users to BEAT100 using all forms of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Stumble Upon etc. Social media – BEAT100’s Twitter following has grown from 15,000 to 60,000 followers and Facebook likes have increased from 20,000 to 55,000. Customer service - This involves dealing with all user issues and helping them with the site. Have created YouTube tutorial videos in order to help users with signing up and uploading videos. Promotion – Use several social media outlets to promote BEAT100 user’s videos and drive traffic/views to the site. Guide artists on how to promote their music in the most efficient way. Event planning - This involves organising and implementing the strategy and planning of live events throughout the UK. Surveying - This involves asking current BEAT100 users about the network, then collecting and reviewing the data via Microsoft Excel. Graphic design – Created banners, news & promotional images for BEAT100. These were shared via BEAT100 News Section, Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon etc. Images were also used on main pages of the website e.g. homepage. Offline Marketing - This includes face-to-face sales and promotional work. Site Testing - Tested the overall social network for bugs, updates and changes that were needed
