I write pieces for the online magazine, Roobla.com. This ranges from TV reviews, music reviews, news, features, listicles etc.
On various days over the years I would go into the BBC Radio Berkshire studio and just help out in any way I could. Whether that be welcoming guests, making tea or coffee, or going through newspapers with the presenters to find things to talk about on the show.
I was processing applications for accreditation as well as talking with clients on the phone and via email. I would often speak to contractors who would be seeking an assessor as well as all of the other administrative duties.
I was on the shop floor and in the stockroom. Duties included speaking to customers both face to face and on the phone, operating the till system, sorting delivery, replenishing shop floor stock as well as reporting to supervisors and managers.
I wrote copy and sub-edited for Autocar magazine, part of Haymarket Media group. I also researched for features, helped with photoshoots, and answered queries of customers on the phone.
I was in charge of reporting on local Football for The Reading Post. I wrote a round-up of the weekend's action which was my first byline. Then I shadowed another journalist who was interviewing a player of Reading FC. Unfortunately the paper is no longer in production.
