Working as part of a team, it was for me in my role to inform and help with the selling of Nike goods. I was to for me to further my knowledge of the brand, interact with consumers and help them pick the products best suitable to their needs while building a positive relationship, reflected in online feedback. Additionally, it required me to self-manage (stock, changing rooms, theft prevention), money handle and remain approachable.
In this position I am to assist the driver with directions and transporting the goods from the van into the household. My position also requires me to call before delivery and assure they fully understand the terms and conditions if something needs unboxing or can’t be delved as it will not fit resulting in it getting returned.
My role is to assist customers by showing them to items they need and helping with the development of their projects. This is done by communicating with the consumer about what it is they are making and offering alternative options or pointing out offers currently on that will make the project more affordable. It was also my role to restock the floor and this was a great way to learn the items functionality and where they are in the store.
While working at The Coronation Hall, it was my role to provide a satisfying service to customers. Serving both food and beverages in a professional manner, even while dealing with a stressful situation. My role also required me to be a porter for the kitchen and deliver the food to the customer and assure they are satisfied.
Working alongside Marlins workforce, it was my role to be part of the experience. Welcoming customers and pointing them in the correct direction. Working as part of the food and beverage department I was required to learn both the food and drinks menus, manage the bar, maintain my department, train new staff and maintain team morel. I took it upon myself to add to family experiences which resulted in me receiving positive verbal feedback from management.
I was to produce drinks and deal with money transfers using a till system that required manual addition. This needed to be done during weddings and booked events so assuring its accuracy and maintain demand still needed to be accurate and done in a professional manner.
When starting at the nightclub I was a bar assistant collecting glasses and assuring they where clean and ready to be used for consumption. After some months working there, I was promoted to be a bartender and it was my role to serve consumers in a speedy and professional fashion while maintaining a lawful service (not serving an incapable customer).
I started working as an apprentice IT assistant, taking on the role of processing online orders and basic computer issues. After communicating with management, I was asked to develop plotter cut logos for company garments and this quickly became my main role. Being called down from the office to deal with direct 1 to 1 queries and producing the designs in front of customers to the desired specifications using Corel DRAW. I was also asked to produce Tag designs for the store. They would be placed on every hanger in store to display the current offers. While taking the apprenticeship I partook in the opportunity for a customer service NVQ.
Now known as WOW internet, I was taken on as a part time apprentice while I was still taking on my GCSE’s. Starting with admin I slowly moved to back end development of websites, getting to grips with Joomla amongst others. My role was to research and populate the content of client webpages and be the first person that interacted with a client. I was also given the opportunity to design elements of the web page and as a result have my voice herd during the development process, overall this taught me design integrity and background knowledge to web design.
