Sebastian Whyte is an award-winning London based director, writer and photographer.
Passionate about poetic, sonically immersive and rich cinematic narratives that encourage emotional journeys. With a love for subtle nuances, the surreal and technical craft, Seb’s work is influenced by cultural and social themes, a love of photography, art and music.
Sebastian is committed to creating compelling and authentic stories, and is currently developing several projects - including a TV series.
He has directed campaigns, spots and films for brands such as Peaky Blinders, Sony, The OWO, World Health Organisation, Vodafone, Vidal Sassoon, Rambert Dance Company, MoD, UKTV, A&E Networks, NHS and Marriott Hotels.
Accolades include: PromoNews - Film of the Month, Creativepool Annual Best Production (2021, 2022, 2023), Shiny Network - New Directors Award, Film the House - Best Film (2016), and Film Shortage - Pick of the Month.

- Songbird trailerSongbird is an award-winning poetic short film for the Take Flight programme from the charity aerial theatre company Scarabeus. Take Flight helps young people in London, UK, improve their mental and physical health through a year-long programme in aerial dance. Made purely voluntarily, Songbird is a simple story brought together through collaboration.
- Rambert Dance in Peaky Blinders - The Redemption of Thomas ShelbySebastian Whyte directs the powerful and beautifully crafted promo for Rambert Dance in Peaky Blinders - The Redemption of Thomas Shelby. The Redemption of Thomas Shelby is a live dance theatre event written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and choreographed and directed by Rambert's Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer. The show opens at the Birmingham Hippodrome in September 2022, then will tour the UK from October until March 2023.
