Freelance Fashion Stylist

Freelance Stylist

Dec 2006 - Dec 2014
  • My styling work has allowed me to work on a wide range of projects – from advertising campaigns to music videos and red carpet styling. To survive in this type of role you need to think on your feet and react to the situations around yourself – these two areas I consider to be a forte! • My flexible attitude enabled me to adapt easily from job to job and consistently achieve the best possible results. This was especially proven when I was Julian Clary’s personal stylist and appointed a head stylist to several BBC shows. • This job allowed me to immerse myself in creative campaigns, and helped me to build up an extensive network of contacts in the fashion and media industries. As a result I was able to ensure that the work/brand I was responsible for was noticed by key influencers. I was responsible for managing editorial content of the fashion section for a national monthly dance music magazine. This was a wide-ranging role which helped me to develop a broad range of skills: I organised every aspect of the photo shoots featured in the magazine, from budgeting to location scouting as well as booking photographers and hair/makeup artists and casting models. The budgetary and time constraints meant the shoots were very high pressure. Responsible for producing editorial shoots. Responsible for coordinating the concept, the photographer, make- up artist, sourcing locations and casting models. Producing shoots in Ibiza, Shanghai, Paris and Madrid.
