About me
I am currently looking for employment for Creative roles. I have just graduated from my BA at the Slade School of Art and previously worked there as a Technical assistant. I have experience with a wide range of equipment and Video/ Photography softwares. Since then, I have continued building my skills in the Fine Arts, as well as writing scripts for Theatre and television. In addition to this I have just finished writing my first book and I also founded the Working Class Creatives Database - A Website and IG page for Working Class Creatives. I have a multifaceted skill set and thrive in all creative environments. I would be interested in Jobs centring Film, Television, Social Media and Gallery work. Equally I have plenty of experience in Service jobs and can direct my passion to any task. To Contact email: Seren_Metcalfe@hotmail.co.uk

There is a known absence of people from working class backgrounds in the creative arts with only 12.4% of the workforce in creative industries from working class backgrounds. Art is a reflection of our time and If working class people are not given the opportunities their stories are not represented. The 'Working Class Creatives Database' is a platform to share and highlight the work of working class creatives. The aim of this database is to facilitate a space that puts working class creatives at the forefront; A space for conversation, connections and sharing of opportunities, skills and knowledge. This database is about creating a community amongst one another but also promoting work in hope of providing paid opportunities with a larger goal of making the creative bubbles more accessible for working class people.
