Head of design at Forward Partners, the UK's leading early-stage VC.
So what do I actually do at FP you ask? Quite literally I’m the point of contact for ALL print and digital design work. I juggle a lot of different projects daily for FP itself while also working internally with our pre-seed founders and externally helping our seed companies level up. I help with UX decisions and create static or animated prototypes then I design responsive interfaces for web and React Native apps. Off the back of those designs I create and manage company specific Design Systems so teams can stay lean and iterate quickly with jeopardising the consistency of the branding.
I help create our companies brands and I love this more than most. I do this by running brand strategy workshops to better inform business and experience decisions and then I create identities and assets off the back of that output. Design choices must be rooted in something meaningful or it's just colours on page. There’s got to be a reason I chose to use Gilroy ExtraLight instead of Helvetica Regular. There’s got to be a reason why your buttons are rounded 5px rather than being square and sharp. These details matter and I live in them, by choice. So there you have it. My role in a few paragraphs.

Projects
- Downtown Cleveland Farmers MarketThe Downtown Cleveland Farmers Market approached me to create a a memorable brand that would establish this new farmers market in the greater Cleveland area. It was important to tailor the branding to the urban center and really focus on the local aspect of the market. I used images of local farmers throughout the campaign to help better connect the market brand to the community. Collateral includes three different postcards, pole banners, kiosks, a newspaper ad and a 8ft vinyl banner. I design
- Save Room BrandingSave Room Pastry and Desserts wanted a bold and modern logo to stand out among Cleveland catering companies. The result is a mark inspired by cookie cutters and custom icing. The use of black keeps the logo modern and hip while the gold accent color portrays a higher-class product and uniqeness. I incorporated the logo into other branding opportunity mock ups and the results are stunning.
