About me
I am currently studying for a Master's in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art and plan to write my thesis on contemporary queer Chinese artists. I write for blogs and other online publications. I am presently setting up my own online publication, which will attempt to rethink contemporary culture (art, dance, music, film, fashion) in relation to previous works and traditions.

My MA has the particular focus of "The Male Body in the Nineteenth Century", which seeks to use queer, feminist and postcolonial theories to look back at canonical works of European art from the French Revolution to the the end of the Nineteenth Century. My dissertation thesis, however, will look at contemporary Chinese queer artists, such as Ren Hang and Xi Ya Die.

Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages and LiteratureUniversity of Oxford
     - Oxford, United Kingdom
My BA degree in Modern Languages (French and Italian) focused on translation, literature and writing skills in both languages. I studied a broad range of texts in both languages, from the Medieval lyric through to Postmodern fiction. I also took the special paper, "Literature and the Visual Arts", which considered the crossovers between literature and art in French cultural history.
