Hello, I am Shahwali aka Shahnanigans 👋🏽
I create engaging experiences that are at the intersection of art, design, technology and storytelling. That is why I founded Shahnanigans (www.shahnanigans.co.uk), a creative practice focusing on increasing engagement and creating interactive experiences with augmented reality.
As an AR developer, I have designed and developed filters for a range of platforms mainly Tiktok, Instagram & Snapchat. These AR filters have accumulated over 30 BILLION VIEWS. Yes, that's Billion with 'B' !

- Augmented Reality Instagram Filters (ShowReel) by Shahwali ShayanI joined the Spark AR Instagram Beta program before it was made public in August. Since the very beginning, I have truly enjoyed making filters because I personally enjoy creating experiences through design. Augmented reality took that passion to another level because AR Filters by nature are intrinsically interactive. - DOPEaMEANDOPEaMEAN has been a project that has been under the works for the past few years. It has been a very rewarding process even though it had its obstacles. I have always wanted to have my own clothing brand and after years of thinking, deliberating, wandering, denying, procrastinating, trashing, building and rebuilding, DOPEaMEAN is finally going to launch in the UK this year (2019). - Dystopian CoventryThis digital art piece was made for the Instagram feed of my streetwear clothing brand DOPEaMEAN (www.dopeamean.co.uk). Since the brand was conceptualised and was born in Coventry, UK, I thought of paying homage to the city's main attraction The Cathedral. The colour palette for this image is in coherence with the colour palette of the A/W 19 collection.

We have worked on AR experiences for some of the biggest brands like Samsung, Netflix, Adobe, Hugo Boss, Sony Music, Sony Films, The Sims, JD Sports, Thomas Cook Travel, Avon Cosmetics & Rossmann (Germany).
We also help brands create onsite activations from location based AR to VR installations to immersive experiences.
